Galway United will make their final trip to Dalymount Park on Sunday as they take on Bohemians in the League of Ireland Premier Division. The game has been pushed back 48 hours due to Bohemians' involvement in the Europa Conference.
The Tribesmen will be hoping to go out on a high as the famous old ground is set to be razed and rebuilt in a €65m two-year project. However, Bohemians' manager Alan Reynolds warns against underestimating his team.
"Usually with an away game in Europe, you come home straight after the game but Bohs are staying overnight, so the players won't have any disruptions to their sleep pattern," he said.
Galway United manager John Caulfield is confident in his team's ability to bring their recent form into the game on Sunday. The Tribesmen have put together a run of good results in the last few weeks, keeping back-to-back clean sheets.
The summer transfer window closed on Tuesday, but United will be welcoming two new players in the coming week. Two goalkeepers have been on trial at the club, one from England and the other from Scotland, with United set to sign one of them ahead of Sunday.
Talks are also taking place with a midfielder from England, with his contract set to have been finalised yesterday. All three players are out of contract professionals, so they can be signed outside of the transfer window.
However, international clearance will be needed as they are non-EU players, so they may not be available for Sunday's game. One player who should be available is Stephen Walsh, who had a slight issue with his foot this week, but the United manager is confident the striker will make the match-day squad.
Kavanagh is unavailable due to the conditions of his loan deal from Bohs, but Killian Brouder is available again, having sat-out last Saturday’s draw with Waterford due to an ankle injury.
